Mini-map returns to Modern Warfare beta after fan outcry

The community has been heard "loud and clear" by Infinity Ward, as some were certainly not happy about its removal.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta took place this past weekend, but there are certain changes that have been implemented already, as revealed by Infinity Ward Senior Communications Manager Ashton Williams on Reddit, one of which is the return of the mini-map.

"We hear you loud and clear," Williams writes regarding the feature. "Along with your feedback and the data we're continuously collecting, we'll be experimenting internally with a few different options and will keep you updated if we make any changes that you might see during the Beta. This is an ongoing conversation with all of you, so again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this topic and we'll update you again when we have more information to share."

The mini-map was restored following many lamenting its absence online, and we also got to see a new 6v6 map called Gun Runner.

In terms of other areas of feedback, Infinity Ward is also looking into players being unable to connect to online services, not hearing your own footsteps, and more, with further details promised ahead of weekend two.

Weekend two of the beta starts on September 21. Are you excited to head in again?
