Minecraft surpasses 176 million copies sold

Mojang's block-building adventure sensation Minecraft blew past yet another milestone ahead of its 10-year anniversary.

We've seen plenty of news articles about Mojang's Minecraft recently - a new Minecraft game is in the works and Minecon is being held in September in the form of a 90-minute long livestream but the game also hit another major milestone. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Minecraft (yes, it's really been that long) Mojang revealed the worldwide sales numbers and the numbers are impressive, to say the least.

176 million copies of Minecraft have left the store shelves, for all platforms (and there are many) worldwide. Have you played Minecraft?
