Minecraft is and has been a massive success story for years, and it just keeps on selling truckloads. In fact, Minecraft has sold a total of 106 million copies across all platforms to date according to data released by developer Mojang.

They also released a neat little infographics revealing the split between different versions of the game in different regions. In Europe, mobile edges out console and PC ever so slightly, wheras mobile dominates in Asia. In fact the only region where mobile doesn't lead the charge is South America where consoles reign supreme.

If Minecraft was a nation its players would be the 12th most populated nation on Earth and there are 40 million active Minecraft players every month.
