In our interview with Shinji Mikami (the full video of which will be on the site shortly) at last week's Gamelab, we discussed potential solutions for the survival horror genre, which the Resident Evil creator had thought developers were "struggling with" recently.
Touching on the Silent hills project, we'd asked whether he thought first-person was a viable direction for the genre and if he'd be interested.
"I do want to make a first person survival horror game," he replied after complimenting Kojima's work. "Because it is a very good method to immerse yourself in your environment, and the fear and the horror is more close to you. So I do feel that I can do something different and interesting in first person."
Last month Tango Gameworks started looking to hire multiple staff members for its next project, which looks to be a PS4/Xbox One title, with expertise asked for on Unreal Engine 4 for new applicants.
