During his PAX 2014 panel, Keiji Inafune, creator of Mighty No. 9 and owner of Comcept, has announced that the beta of the game will start from tomorrow, though access will only be for those who've backed a certain tier.

According to Infaune, those that have supported the game with $80 or more will be able to download a build of the game that includes a single level, with other levels appearing over the duration of the beta.

He also revealed that all Mighty No. 9 backers will get a free digital copy of Mighty Gunvolt, a 8-bit version of the 2D action platformer Azure Striker Gunvolt developed by Inti Creates, which Inafune worked on as an "honorary action director."

After a successful Kickstarter campaign - that saw Comcept net $3.8 million last year - Mighty No. 9 will land on several platforms (old-gen and next-gen) in Spring 2015.

"While it may lack the charm and originality of the platformers of yesteryear, Beck's first full length adventure is still an enjoyable one."
