Most people who are into games know Phil Spencer, the man from Microsoft has been a vocal leader and figurehead for Xbox products since 2014. Spencer has now been promoted and his new job title is that of executive vice president of gaming. This means that he will be involved in Microsoft's senior leadership group.
A few years ago investors were speculating that Microsoft would sell their whole Xbox division. In the end, though, they adapted their Windows 10 Game Mode into the more successful cross-platform Play Anywhere program.
This might mean that Microsoft is putting even more effort into the Xbox brand in the future, but we will have to wait and see what the future holds.
Whatever happens, congratulates on the promotion Phil!
