Microsoft won't reveal Halo 6 at E3

343 Industries don't want us to get our hopes up.

Microsoft is set to reveal the Xbox Scorpio at their E3 conference next month, and this has created quite a few rumours about how they'll show off the new console's power, with some speculating this could involve the reveal of the next major Halo game. Well, it turns out we'll "have to make do" with Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves, probably a new Forza, and more.

343 Industries' community manager Brian Jarrard has decided to manage player expectations by posting this message of Reddit: "I'll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We've said this already but we'll have a little something at E3 but it's not related to the next major entry in the franchise."

So it would seem that it's best to just put hopes for a Halo 6 reveal away and instead expect news about Halo Wars 2 expansions or something we haven't seen coming. Could this be a ploy though?
