We don't know a whole lot about the upcoming "Scorpio", an upgraded version of Xbox One that will release sometime next year. What we do know, however, is that it will be roughly 50% more powerful than the recently announced PlayStation 4 Pro. And according to Microsoft Studios' Shannon Loftis - this means it will be able to render native 4K resolution.

This was revealed in an interview with USA Today where she said: "Any games we're making that we're launching in the Scorpio time frame, we're making sure they can natively render at 4K."

This puts heavy pressure on Sony, who recently said that most of their games won't be able to do native 4K with Playstation 4 Pro, and that most games will be upscaled instead. That basically means it will be switched roles with the upgraded consoles, since regular the Xbox One mostly has upscaled games, with PlayStation 4 being able to do native 1080p.
