Microsoft went all out this year during E3 and revealed that they have acquired Initiative, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games, Ninja Theory and Playground Games, with the five teams becoming first-party studios for MS moving forward.

Most notably Playground Games are known for developing the Forza Horizon series and Undead Labs have worked on Xbox exclusive State of Decay.

This is a move that Microsoft will likely hope to reassure fans who have concerns about the company's lack of first-party content.
