Metal Gear Solid film director is packing it with "Kojima-quirk"

A new draft has been submitted, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts hopes to meet a "specific actor" very soon.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts is going to be the director for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid film project, and he's just shared a long Twitter thread that might be of interest to fans of the series, especially since it gives us an update on the project too.

He starts by drawing comparisons between Metal Gear Solid and the recent Black Widow trailer, and in fact most of the thread is talking about Marvel and MGS, but hidden at the end is a message is an apology for the lack of regular updates on the MGS film.

"We just turned in a new draft. It's full Kojima-quirk and full Military surrealism. I won't say more," he explains. "I'm hoping to meet a specific actor very soon," he teases, although we don't know who this could be.

Vogt-Roberts praised Death Stranding earlier this year, so he's clearly got a taste for the 'Kojima-quirk', which should hopefully mean the film is true to the essence of Metal Gear Solid.

Who could the actor be?
