It's time for arguably the most iconic race in the world to take place once again. This coming weekend marks the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix, with Formula 1 teams flocking to the Mediterranean country to zoom around its striking streets yet again.

To mark the race, McLaren has decided to pay homage to one of its former drivers, a man regarded as a bit of a master of the Monacan streets, Aryton Senna, all in the form of a stunning and very different livery for its F1 car.

McLaren will be doing away with the traditional papaya orange in favour of a yellow and green colour scheme to reflect Senna's Brazilian heritage.

As for why this livery has been created, this year marks 30 years since Senna tragically died while racing in Formula 1. We're seeing this marked in a multitude of ways, including a coming Netflix series, but this livery redesign is definitely up there as one of the more eye-catching ways to celebrate the famed racing driver.
