Mayhem Academy's team leaving Overwatch Contenders

Florida Mayhem promises that this is just to change the roster direction, meaning it's allegedly a temporary break from the competition.

Overwatch League team Florida Mayhem competed in the Overwatch Contenders league with the Mayhem Academy team, but they've recently revealed that this won't be the case anymore, since they want to change the roster direction, which means taking a season off from the competition.

The team promises to rejoin Contenders "in the near future", and thanks the roster and staff for their hard work, working with the remaining members to help them find new opportunities in the world of Overwatch.

Mayhem Academy has performed well in Contenders this year, but lost out to Gladiators Legion in the playoffs.

Are you sad to see them go?
