Since its announcement back in 2014, fans have been eagerly awaiting news about Showtime's live-action Halo TV series, and now a new report from The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange is the New Black) will take up the role of Spartan-117, better known as the Master Chief.

As well as the casting announcement for Schreiber, an Australian actor Yerin Ha will join the show to play a new character called Quan Ah, according to the same report. Ha managed to gain the role as part of a worldwide casting search, and she is known for her work on stage in Australia.

Earlier this month 343 Industries said that the show has to be true to what fans love about the series, so we'll have to wait and see whether Schreiber can do Master Chief justice.
