The Uncharted film has been through more trials and tribulations than Nathan Drake himself, as director Dan Trachtenberg was said to have left the film earlier this year, with the role of Nathan Drake moving between various actors before landing on Spider-Man's Tom Holland.
Despite all these bumps along the way, the film is slowly starting to take shape, and we've even got a tentative 2020 release date as well. On top of that, Variety now reports that Mark Wahlberg - once linked to the role of Nathan Drake - is actually in talks to play the role of the older mentor Victor Sullivan, aka Sully
Travis Knight is directing the film, and Wahlberg allegedly wanted to return to the project after being linked with Drake originally.
Rafe Judkins is writing the script alongside Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, and as for whether this all comes together as a finished film, only time will tell.
Would Wahlberg be a good Sully?
