It's safe to say that Super Mario Odyssey did very well at Gamescom, as you can tell by the convention's official page, which shows us that the game took five awards home from Cologne. The most prestigious of those is the Best of Gamescom award, and the others were Best Family Game, Best Action Game, Best Nintendo Switch Console Game, and "Most Wanted" Consumer Award.
Destiny 2 won Best Social/Online Game and Best Multiplayer Game awards, so Bungie won't be too dissatisfied with their result either, nor will Bethesda, as Fallout 4 VR was judged the Best Virtual Reality Game, while PES 2018 beat FIFA in Best Sports Game award.
