Mad Max prequel rumoured to be in the making

If recent rumours are to be believed then a new Mad Max film is already in pre-production. The film production company won't confirm this, but it seems like it might be a prequel of some sorts that will be called Mad Max: The Wasteland. The main character will be Charlize Theron's mean Imperator Furiosa and the recording is expected to start before the end of this year.

The director George Miller has previously said that he wants to continue to explore Max Rockatansky's post apocalyptic world, but has a couple of minor projects at hand first. We keep our fingers crossed that all this is true. Mad Max: Fury Road earned six Oscars after all, and hopefully Avalanche Studios can make yet another Mad Max game as well.
