Luigi may not get as much love as his crimson-wearing brother, but he certainly knows how to extinguish a ghost or two. In this third instalment, it looks like he may be enlisting the help of his gooey brother, aptly named Gooigi.
Gooigi's abilities look very helpful indeed, as his liquid make-up means he can slide through gates and fences along with slipping conveniently over sets of sharp spikes. Players can team up in local co-op to fight the ghostly monsters in Luigi's Mansion 3.
Thankfully, Nintendo isn't forgetting about the main man, and his trusty weapon, the Poltergust 3000, is getting some neat upgrades. We particularly like the look of the smash ability, which lets you effectively gobble up ghosts, and slam them on the ground for a wider attack. This looks like it'll come in handy in some of those dark corners containing multiple ghostly enemies.
Sadly, no firm release window was given as the trailer closed out with "coming in 2019", but we're definitely looking forward to this one. A Halloween release, perhaps?
