Link's Awakening looks cute as hell, and it's heading to Nintendo Switch. This isn't going to be news for fans of the Zelda-series, but tonight during Nintendo's E3 Direct broadcast, we did get to see the game in action, as well as see the new dungeon editing tools that will let players build their own challenges with rooms/chambers that they have unlocked and then play through them to earn rewards.

The game, which is coming to Switch in September, has players exploring the island of Koholint, meeting the strange inhabitants who live there, as well as dealing with the Super Mario enemies he encounters along the way (think goombas and piranha plants, that sort of thing). Link washes up on the shore of this quirky little place, which has been rebuilt to suit the new art style of the game, and there he must collect magical instruments and awaken the Wind Fish.

Nintendo also confirmed a new Link amiibo will land alongside the game on September 20, 2019.
