Lies of P developer changes name to Nough Studio

Round 8 Studio developed the first Lies of P game, but now the developers have undergone a name change as the sequel to the hit 2023 soulslike enters production. Nough Studio is the name of the Lies of P developer going forward, as a new video explained.

It's currently unclear whether Nough Studio is just a Round 8 rebrand, or if this is a new studio formed of the Lies of P vets with Round 8 continuing to operate on other projects. Either way, Nough Studio still sits under the NEOWIZ umbrella, and it operates on a "games by gamers" mantra, wanting to create the best action game possible, through Nough Studio's unique way of testing games.

In the video, we hear about how Nough Studio does things a little differently from other game developers when it comes to testing. Director Choi Jiwon will stream builds of the game to the entire studio at key milestones, and there will be days where everyone just plays as much as they can of a build, giving feedback via a survey at the end.

Nough Studio is still being quite coy about Lies of P's sequel, sharing very little concrete information. We know the game is in full production right now, but apart from that, the developers at Nough Studio want us to just be patient for a little bit longer. "We won't let you down," said Choi.
