The launch of Lego The Hobbit is imminent, with it set to land on April 8 - the same day the movie arrives on DVD/Blu-ray. Those wondering what would happen with regards to the third firm, and whether we'd be a looking at another game, will no doubt be interested to hear the latest reports regarding the game.
According to a rumour published by Brick Fanatics (and via GameInformer), it was stated that a plan involving DLC was confirmed at this year's London Toy Fair.
The report suggests that the third film will be covered by DLC set to launch alongside the movie at the end of this year, just in time for Christmas.
Lego The Hobbit, which launches next week (and on all manner of platforms) is based on the first two films - An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug - and with that in mind this report certainly makes sense. Still, there's no official word from Warner Bros.
