Life is Strange has been a huge success for Square Enix and developer Dontnod, and now the popular franchise is being turned into a live-action series, thanks to a partnership between Square Enix and Legendary Digital Entertainment.

The press release does not mention any cast members or release timing, but it does say that Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons of dj2 Entertainment are heading the project, who are involved with the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie for Sony.

Legendary Digital's SVP of development and production, Greg Siegel had this to say of the project:

"Life is Strange is one of those rare properties that combines incredibly developed characters and storylines with deeply engaging gameplay,"

"It lends itself perfectly to live-action imaginings. We couldn't be more excited to partner with Square Enix, Dontnod Entertainment and dj2 to bring the world of Arcadia Bay to life in an exciting new way."

REVIEW. Written by Bengt Lemne

"At the end of a very turbulent week in Arcadia Bay we have to say that this is a game that anyone who appreciates this sort of episodic adventure owes it to themselves to try."
