Legacy of the Void sells one million copies on release
Starcraft II still pulls in the punters.
In the recent years the MOBA genre has grabbed a lot of attention away from the more classic real-time strategy genre that gave birth to the MOBAs. Even so, the biggest RTS series of them all is clearly still very popular, as Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void sold as much as a million copies on its release:
"Thanks for making the launch of #LotV a success! We'll see you in the Koprulu Sector, Commanders", Blizzard writes on Twitter along with a video with the caption "One million warped in... and counting".
We assume this number will rise significantly as time goes on, as most Blizzard strategy titles tend to have healthy legs.
