When Capcom and Level-5 announced the tentatively named Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney on Nintendo 3DS they also revealed the sales of the two franchises. The Professor Layton games that debuted on Nintendo DS in February 2007 has sold a massive 9.5 million copies worldwide (up until September). Meanwhile the Ace Attorney games (including spin-offs) has reached worldwide sales of 3.9 million. It pays to be clever it seems...
