The Last of Us: Part II is one of the most anticipated upcoming games, and while it certainly doesn't need any help generating hype, actor Troy Baker (who plays Joel) has done just that by highlighting the scale of the sequel in a new interview with Push Square.

"I can tell you this: it's hands down the most ambitious game that Naughty Dog has ever done for sure," he said at Manchester Comic-Con. "It's far larger than I thought was going to be possible."

Baker also talked about the rumours that the game might be out in February, which came from Ashley Johnson, the actress behind Ellie.

"It'll be out 31st February, that's what [Johnson] said - people just took it out of context," he joked. "Wow, I'm sure she got a call from Sony saying, 'Shut up!' She's like, 'Guys, it's a f****** joke!'"

There have been plenty of rumours about a release date for Naughty Dog's project but so far nothing concrete has been revealed at all. We were even supposed to get a State of Play livestream dedicated to the game earlier this summer, according to rumours, but so far nothing has emerged.

Are you hyped to get your hands on this?
