Hot on the heels of the news that Borussia Dortmund had broken its licensing deal ahead of PES 2019, Konami has announced another with BVB's biggest rival, FC Schalke 04.
BVB fans won't thank us for pointing out that last season it was FC Schalke 04 that was the club closest to stopping the juggernaut that is Bayern Munich, and that on-pitch success has prompted Konami to strike a deal with the team that'll no doubt see in-game players accurately modelled on their real-life counterparts as well as the accurate depiction of the club's stadium, Veltins-Arena.
As you can see in the screens below the PES team has put a lot of effort into recreating the stadium in digital form, and next year's entry in the series is the only game to feature the arena. Might that be enough to persuade the club's supporters to ditch FIFA and join team PES?
