Killzone Mercenary revealed

Killzone Mercenary is a brand new title in the sci-fi shooter series, and it's coming exclusively to PS Vita, being built specifically with the machine's capabilities in mind.

The game was revealed at Sony's Gamescom conference via a short live-action trailer following a team of mercenaries-for-hire tracking down a young girl for a handsome reward, before cutting into a brief montage of in-game footage that showed you cutting down enemies up close with directional melees controlled by the front touch screen.

The trailer then finished on a a series of battles that saw each kill racking up points, as the game centres around killing everything for profit. How that pans out into gameplay mechanics or even gamely progression is unknown as that - plus concrete release date or anything else - were kept firmly under wraps for now.
