Liquid Bit and BumbleBear Games' eight-player arcade platformer Killer Queen Black has finally received a release date, as it'll be coming to PC (via Steam and Discord) alongside Nintendo Switch on October 11.
One Queen and three workers head out to fight for the hive, with Economic, Military, and Snail victories available. Economic victories happen from collecting berries and returning them to the base, with Military victories occurring when you beat the opposing Queen three times. A Snail victory, however, sees you ride a snail very slowly back home.
There's even Ranked Play as well, featuring leagues and placements, with cross-platform voice chat (powered by Vivox) featured to make communication as fluid as possible. Emotes and objective callouts are also included as well.
"Bringing Killer Queen home has been a long journey but we can finally show our efforts," said Matt Tesch, co-founder of Liquid Bit. "Soon players around the world can scream and shout 'SNAIL, WATCH THE SNAIL!' at home or the arcades."
A 15% discount is coming at launch on Switch, and a physical edition for Nintendo's console - courtesy of Nighthawk Interactive - includes controller skins, a cartridge, and exclusive game art, landing on October 25. Discord Nitro subscribers get it for free on October 11, but it'll also be on Steam and the Humble Store with an extra Killer Queen Black Four Pack, so a full team can play.
We can expect the game on Xbox One later on, but for now get a sense of the experience with the new trailer.
