Kia has dished out a bunch of details on its upcoming electric SUV. Set to fit into the compact SUV space, the EV3 will bring several of the premium elements and features that make up the more expensive EV9 all to this more affordable model.

We're told in a press release that the EV3 will feature a 58.3kWh battery that can deliver a 0-100km/h acceleration of 7.5 seconds, 600km of range on one charge, and fast-charging from 10-80% in just 31 minutes. It will also offer an almost 30-inch display panel that includes smaller displays made specifically for certain elements of the car such as air conditioning. Plus, Kia will bolster the car with its AI Assistant to enhance the driving experience further.

Kia notes that the EV3 will come in nine colour variants and will even have a Long Range alternative that uses an 81.4kWh battery to extend maximum range even further. There is even reference to a GT version of the Ev3 that serves up a more rugged and adventurous appearance.

The EV3 will first debut in Korea in July and then will receive a European launch sometime in the second half of 2024.
