KFC offered $10,000 for someone to make a bucket of fried chicken in Tears of the Kingdom

KFC has teamed up with gamers once more to bring a speedrunning challenge to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players. The challenge is known as the Recipe Run, and it required players to piece together their own bucket of fried chicken in-game.

Fried chicken is not a craftable item in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and so players were instead tasked with combining oil, chicken, and eleven herbs and spices to concoct their own version of KFC.

For the first place winner was a grand prize of $10,000. But, for those who took part in the challenge, they could earn a voucher for a free meal at KFC. Not bad for just making some food in a video game. 17 countries were involved with thousands of participants, and you can check out a video revealing more below:
