Journey soundtrack to get a special and limited edition vinyl

You can buy it starting from tomorrow.

Just a few days ago, during the Digital Gaming Showcase in London, Sony confirmed that Journey - the evocative game released back to 2012 and developed by Thatgamecompany for PS3 - will come on PS4 next summer. The game - running at 60fps and in 1080p - will be available in stores in physical form, in a bundle with Thatgamecompany's others works - Flower and Flow - both of which are already available on PS4.

Now, iam8bit has announced on the PS blog that Journey's soundtrack (composed by Austin Wintory and the first gaming OST to be nominated for a Grammy Award) will be released on vinyl for the first time. The beautiful cover of the vinyl has been created by the artist Mark Englert, and it captures the magical and suggestive mood of the game.

You can pre-order a copy starting from tomorrow (April 23) at 6 GMT/18 CET right here and it will cost $35. But you can buy a special and limited edition as well (at $60) with a gorgeous print (12 x 36-inch) signed and numbered by the artist. You can see the images below:

"For some, it's an artistic commentary on life and what lies beyond. For others, it was just a very fun hour or so exploring sand dunes and being dazzled by the visuals. Neither group is wrong."
