Jared Leto's Joker film is a reality
Warner Bros. has allegedly given it the green light.
We already knew that Jared Leto wanted to play the Joker again after Suicide Squad, and so he will do, as Variety allegedly has sources that say Warner Bros. Pictures has agreed for a new film focused on the crazy villain of the DC universe in which Leto will be the main actor and also the executive producer.
Plot details are unknown as the company is now looking for a lead writer, but Variety confirms that this Joker is the same one that we saw in Suicide Squad, as the film will follow the same timeline of that one, its sequel, and also the new Harley Quinn standalone film with Margot Robbie. Warner Bros. also greenlighted a Todd Phillips' Joker production with Joaquin Phoenix, but falling under a different banner.
Leto's role in Suicide Squad didn't satisfy many of the DC fans, but did you like it?
