After a busy few days where the best Smite teams and players took to Arlington in Texas to compete in the Smite World Championship, a victor now stands among the rest. After a gruelling weekend of action, the Jade Dragons have come out on top and defeated the Oni Warriors in the grand finals to be crowned the latest world champs.

The Dragons defeated the Warriors 3-2 in the finals, after also defeating the Styx Ferrymen and the Highland Ravens in the days beforehand. As part of the victory, it has also been revealed that the Dragons' mid-laner, Bastien "Dardez" Proust has been named as the MVP for the tournament.

With this result in mind, all eyes will be on the 11th season of the Smite Pro League, which will act as a transition season between Smite and the recently announced Smite 2.

REVIEW. Written by Johannes Leander

"Despite the cool Gods at war theme, balancing issues and clumsy matchmaking present too much of a hindrance for us to truly enjoy this MOBA title."
