Cyberpunk 2077 is still shrouded in mystery, and while rumors suggest that this year's E3 might feature a big, formal reveal, it would seem that an actual release is ways off. One slide from a company presentation even suggests that the game could also release on next-generation platforms.
Recently, CD Projekt Red's Piotr Nielubowicz and Adam Kiciński spoke at the Pareto Securities Gaming Seminar, and here one slide revealed that the game is built on both "current and next-generation technology". This, of course, implies that the game is cross-generational.
There's also the possibility that this is a simple hyperbole, but with NPD analysts predicting a PlayStation 5 release in 2020, it may very well be that CD Projekt Red is making sure Cyberpunk 2077 can launch across both generations of consoles.
