IO Interactive cut ties with Square Enix less than a year ago, keeping the Hitman IP to continue working on it. Since then the company has released Hitman 2 to reintroduce us to Agent 47, and now they've announced growth in the form of a new studio that has been opened in the Swedish city of Malmö, which is already operating.
IOI Malmö's first task is to create more content for the Hitman franchise. "Furthermore, this will expand our muscles for creating brand-new and exciting endeavours, new universes, new franchises. In other words, IOI Malmö and Copenhagen are one family," said Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive.
The company is hiring people with technical profiles to join them in Sweden, and if you're interested, take a look at the job opportunities here.
