IO Interactive confirmed to be working on new Hitman game

Including "some franchise firsts."

Hitman's Game of the Year Edition launched yesterday and includes pretty much everything that's come along for the game so far. Fortunately, it seems like we'll be getting more of this, as Danish developer IO Interactive has now confirmed they are working on a new game in the series.

The CEO Hakan Abrak had this to say on the studio's homepage: "One last thing about our next Hitman game; I want to let you know that we're making great progress and we have exciting new features and some franchise firsts, which we can't wait to tell you all about. You'll have to wait a little longer as we don't plan to start talking about that until some point in 2018."

Since IO Interactive isn't owned by any big developer anymore (Square Enix sold off the company), it'll be interesting to see who they will be working with as a publisher for the second game. Do you have any special wishes for the next game?
