Sombr Studios' chaotic battle arena game has just landed on Steam and to celebrate the launch they have also released a brand new launch trailer so you know what you're getting before diving in. Oh, and there's a puppet in the trailer.
"Invisigun Heroes is a multiplayer, single-screen stealth battle arena with a twist: everyone's invisible!," the Steam page says. "Predictable grid-based movement ensures that you know where you are, but other players don't. Vigilance is key as environmental tells such as footprints and other disturbances will point out careless cadets. Using special abilities and firing your Invisigun will also momentarily give you away. Along with items and powerups, these mechanics reward stealth, trickery, reflex, forethought, deception, bluffing, and awareness. A variety of lovingly-made environments, maps, game modes, and abilities combine for high replayability and a deep path to mastery."
In the game there are 50 maps to choose from, as well as controller support, four player single-screen multiplayer, match modifiers, various heroes, and more.
There's also an update on the Steam community page that reveals that "version 1.0.1 has an issue with public and private servers for Linux, and the fix is beyond [our] control as it relies on a 3rd party tool. [We are] working with them to identify the issue and will have it up and running as soon as possible. Please note that everything else in the Linux build works properly - full local features, and direct IP connections for online play - and Windows and OS X are unaffected by this. Thanks for your patience."
Do you think there should be more local co-op/multiplayer games like this?
