Robert Kirkman, Invincible's creator, has assured fans that they won't be waiting as long for a new season as they have for Season 2 of the hit superhero series. Season 1 premiered back in March 2021 and in a few short days the second lot of episodes will finally be unleashed.

Speaking with Variety, Kirkman understands how much it pained fans to wait for over two years for an update on Invincible, and assures them they won't be enduring a similar wait for Season 3. "What I can guarantee is that the gap between Season 1 and 2 is the longest gap we should ever have, you know, barring some unforeseen catastrophe," he said.

"It may be every 18 months or 16 months or 13 months or every 12 months. We're still trying to figure that out."

Kirkman also spoke about some surprise big names that could be appearing in the show's third season. "There are so many actors that are in Season 3 that are not in Season 2 that I am terrified to talk about actors in interviews, because Season 3 has already been recorded, and the sessions definitely run together in my head. There are people who were in Season 1 whose characters don't appear in Season 2, but do appear in Season 3 — that's a tidbit I'll give you."

Are you ready for Invincible Season 2? The show premieres on the 3rd of November.
