New World Interactive did a cracking job with Insurgency: Sandstorm when it launched late last year, and the studio is looking to build on a strong launch with a series of free content drops over the coming months.
In an extensive post shared by the studio, we got news about new maps (including a snowy one), night versions of existing maps, new weapons and upgrades, fresh customisation options, a level editor and various mod tools, and the popular "hardcore" way to play the game is set to extend out across all multiplayer modes, including the new PvP Frontline and Co-op Outpost game modes. There's a lot to take in, but if you're a fan of the game then the post linked above is well worth a read.
