Insurgency: Sandstorm a game "people know our brand for"

We talked with lead game designer Michael Tsarouhas at E3.

New World Interactive's Insurgency: Sandstorm was present at the Focus Home Interactive booth at E3, so we took the chance to talk to lead game designer Michael Tsarouhas about how development is going, and especially about the now-cancelled story mode.

"While we were working on the story mode we were still working on the multiplayer at the same time, all these things were in production, so [...] there are things that have crossed over," he told us. "Yes, unfortunately we had to put some of that stuff on pause and it has gone to waste for now, but again, we really realised this as we were working through it that this is the move we had to make and it's the experience we're going to deliver that people would expect and I think people know our brand for, know Insurgency for. And again, after release we're going to reconsider and it's all there for us, but it was all moving in the same direction and production and technical things anyway."
