Infamous sells 1 million in nine days

Sony has just announced that Infamous: Second Son has sold an impressive 1 million copies in just nine days, making it the fastest-selling game in the series to date.

Second Son, released on March 21, sold better than both PlayStation 3 games from the same series, and the impressive numbers will no doubt be music to the ears of both Sucker Punch and Sony execs following last year's launch of PlayStation 4.

The game, which puts players in control of Delsin Rowe instead of previous protagonist Cole, managed two weeks at the top of the UK multi-platform charts, and the game's release also saw PS4 hardware sales leap by more than 100% in the days that followed.
