It was only a few hours ago that we finally got an official announcement from Ubisoft regarding Watch Dogs Legion, the next instalment in the hacker series. While the reveal brought a whole host of new gameplay details, including an extremely hard-to-miss parkour grandma, we managed to speak with world director Joel Burgess to get a bit more information on what's coming, including how we'll approach things.
"In Watch Dogs Legion you play as Dedsec itself," Burgess told us. "You're building a resistance group to fight back against an authoritarian regime in a near future London. It's a natural progression of the brand we think, from fighting as an individual, to fighting as a group, to actually fighting as anybody in the whole of London because you can actually recruit everyone you see."
Watch Dogs Legion allows for seamless play with everyone in the game, making for a mechanical challenge few games could rival. Still, however the game ends up operating, we know one thing for certain - we are definitely playing as a hacker granny of our own.
Watch Dogs: Legion is set to launch on March 6 next year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Are you excited to build a resistance?
