Things have been quiet around Treasure lately. In 2013 we could report that the developers wanted to get Ikaruga on Steam, and in 2014 we learned that their new game, Ubusana, was headed for PlayStation 4.

Now, thanks to our colleagues at Gematsu, we know that Ikaruga is headed for the PS4 as well, as the game has been rated for the current PlayStation console by the German USK.

Ikaruga, which is a vertical shoot 'em up featuring a unique polarity-switching gameplay originally launched in Japanese arcades in 2001, was released worldwide in 2003 for the Gamecube, then for Xbox 360 in 2008, and finally for PC in 2014.

Are you excited to see this classic game on a modern console?
