After an excellent Kickstarter campaign, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was published on June 21 on various platforms, but there's a version that didn't convince the players, namely the Nintendo Switch edition, which was quickly proven to be very problematic indeed. This led the creator of the game, the legendary Koji Igarashi, to talk to Game Informer (via NintendoLife) about that fact, telling that he hadn't expected the game to be so bad on Nintendo's hybrid console.

"While there were concerns over hardware limitations, we didn't expect it to be as bad when it was released. Unfortunately, a number of problems occurred that we didn't foresee. With WayForward's support, these issues are being addressed, and they are working hard to optimize the Switch version."

However, despite its issues on Nintendo Switch, it seems that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been received rather well by audiences and critics, as we told you in our review.

REVIEW. Written by Sergio Figueroa

"After so many years of waiting for a new Castlevania game, we can say that Koji Igarashi has delivered a good one, even if it does arrive with a different name."
