The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia joined Monster Hunter: World just recently, giving players and fans of both the Monster Hunter series and the Witcher series a chance to take part in a fun crossover event.
The update sees Geralt hunting for an ancient Leshen by accepting the contract "Trouble in the Ancient Forest", and if you complete your task you'll receive an armour set blueprint that'll be available for crafting, a Nekker skin for your Palico, a cursed staff, and a silver sword. The choices you make in dialogue will also affect the narrative, so choose wisely.
After completing the contract, players can try their luck on the second contract in the crossover called "Woodland Spirit", which some of you might remember as a contract from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This time it's a multiplayer challenge where players who take down the beast will be awarded with a Ciri full armour set and a pair of dual blades. The second contract is time-limited and runs on from February 15 (at 00:00 GMT, 01:00 CET) to March 1 (00:59 CET, an hour before for GMT) of this year.
This update is free for all on PS4 and Xbox One, but for the first contract you'll need to be Hunter Rank 16 or higher, and for the second you'll need to be 50 or above. PC players will be getting it at a later date too, so don't worry.
Do you meet the standards required to take on Geralt's contracts?
