At the current moment in time, the Cosmos is offering 12 months of VIVEPORT Infinity for anyone who orders the headset before it officially launches in October. This means users can get up to a year of free VR titles and applications, in a subscription-based service, if a Cosmos is pre-ordered.

As for the platform itself, the Vive Cosmos is looking to be HTC's answer to the Oculus Quest bringing untethered play, without the need for a base station. As well as this, the Cosmos will have a much stronger pixel resolution that is around an 88% increase over the original Vive, alongside a flip-up design and a new control scheme, using emitted light as a tracking system. Furthermore, the headset is "future-proofed", meaning it has the ability to be upgraded with different modular options that will keep the Cosmos at the peak of technological advancement.

If this new headset seems like something you would be interested in. You can pre-order it right now, making you eligible for the promotional offer at the official HTC Vive site.

Will you be picking up the Vive Cosmos?
