Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn is being turned into a board game

Aloy's futuristic world is heading to the tabletop.

Our game of last year was Horizon: Zero Dawn, the excellent action-RPG from Guerrilla Games that landed exclusively on PlayStation 4 last March. If you're of a similar disposition then we think it's likely that you'll be pleased to hear that the game is getting the board game treatment, with a recently launched Kickstarter campaign.

The developers at Steamforged Games were after £155K but that has already been smashed with over £750K already in the proverbial bank. There's still over two weeks to go too. It's not a cheap one, however, and this 1-4 tactical co-op game will set you back a cool £100+ and it isn't expected to ship before March, 2020. That said, you will get a bunch of expansions as part of your investment, so it's swings and roundabouts.

REVIEW. Written by Magnus Groth-Andersen

"This is a game that not only honours the promise of its trailers and delivers on our lofty expectations, but actually surpasses them."
