The critically acclaimed PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn has sold 10 million copies since its launch in March 2017, as revealed by the official PlayStation blog. The sales numbers were revealed by developer Guerrilla Games to celebrate the game's two year anniversary.

In the blog Guerrilla Games thanks the fans by sharing some fun facts about the development of the game, including the fact that Aloy's face was modeled on Dutch actress Hannah Hoekstra after a developer saw her on TV while off sick, and that prototyping for the game began all the way back in 2010.

"The idea that we were able to bring Aloy's journey to so many players is astounding. We've been deeply moved by the enormous amount of fan creations you've posted online, as well as the heartfelt letters you've sent sharing your favourite moments from Aloy's journey," the post reads.

It's not as if the game has been forgotten about either, as just recently we found out that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is celebrating the anniversary with Eclipse skins in the PS4 version of the game, keeping the legacy alive even longer.
