Shortly after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, it became clear that something was seriously wrong in the relation between Konami and the Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, and he was even banned from appearing at The Game Awards 2015.

Kojima eventually left Konami and started his Kojima productions, and the Metal Gear series hasn't been the same ever since. The only new project has been Metal Gear Survive from 2018, which unfortunately was really bad.

But recently, Konami has started to pay attention to Solid Snake's adventures, and we're currently waiting on Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater (a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater), while Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 (includes the first three main games in the Metal Gear Solid series) launches tomorrow. Some players have already got the latter, and thanks to this, something interesting has been found.

VGC reports that the new credits for this collection lacks the mentioning of Hideo Kojima himself. Instead, there's a brief thank you to "all original Metal Gear series staff and fans" (something that also includes the voice actor David Hayter, who didn't get an individual mention either). While Kojima is still mentioned in the credits of the individual games, one could argue that he should get a mention as he actually was the creator of all the titles in this collection.

What do you think about this?
