The Finals of the Dreamhack Open Fall championship has concluded with Heroic defeating Team Vitality in a best-of-five series. The match-up of which saw Heroic and Vitality trading blows up until the last map, ended with Heroic defeating Vitality in a 16-7 game on Mirage, netting a $33,000 prize pool.

Team Vitality looked strong for the duration of the whole tournament, knocking out tough competitors such as Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG and Astralis. Heroic however, was the wildcard who began in the loser's bracket, and ended up pushing through all the way to the finals, coincidentally also defeating all the tough teams Vitality knocked out.

With this result, Heroic has claimed a spot in the Intel Extreme Masters Season XV - Global Challenge, where they will be in for the chance at a much greater prize pool. That tournament however, will not start for until mid-December, as other teams still must qualify through various tournaments to be able to compete.
