Here's the first look at the new Joker movie

Warner Bros. and DC Comics are developing a new Joker movie separate from the established DC Cinematic Universe. In this standalone movie, viewers will get to experience Joker's own origin story, with Joaquin Phoenix playing this particular version of the character. The movie is being directed by Todd Phillips, who has shared the first glimpse of Joaquin Phoenix, not as the Joker, but as "Arthur". We guess that's his name before turning into the iconic Batman villain.

The movie is reportedly set in the 1980s, and will also star Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, and Marc Maron. According to IGN, it will be hitting cinemas on October 4, 2019.
